Many thanks Nyket, Ingeborg, Karin, Hanna - for sharing your copies of CIF World News. And Gerhard - for translation.

Please read what is it about and if interested then download (zip packed) compilation cifwn.zip

This compilation of CIF World News includes 45 issues of magazines about CIP/CIF, from 1977 - 2006. Size of the file is 27,6 Mb.

Most magazines are in scanned to computer and after fixing errors, converted to .pdf format. There still may be minor
grammatical errors, hopefully those don't disturb the reading.

CIF World News magazines in this compilation are in portable document format (.pdf)

A Portable Document Format (pdf) file is a self-contained cross-platform document. In plain language, it is a file that will look
the same on the screen and in print, regardless of what kind of computer or printer someone is using and regardless of what
software package was originally used to create it.

Although they contain the complete formatting of the original document, including fonts and images, PDF files are highly
compressed, allowing complex information to be downloaded efficiently.

To view the magazines in your computer, there must be installed a program what is capable of opening that(.pdf) type of files. This program is called Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If you don't have Acrobat Reader installed in your computer, then you can download it for free from internet (http://www.adobe.com).

The compilation is packed in .zip format. To unpack the zip file there is  several free programs (for example JustZIPit http://free-backup.info/justzipit.html). After downloading and unpacking compilation wn.zip you can read or print the magazines from your computer.

You system must meet next general requirements:

Windows

* Intel Pentium or AMD processor
* Microsoft Windows 95 OSR 2.0 or Windows 98 SE or Windows Millennium Edition or Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or Windows 2000 or Windows XP or Windows Vista or Windows 7
* 64MB of RAM
* 24MB of available hard-disk space
* Additional 70MB of hard-disk space for Asian fonts (optional)

or

* 64MB of RAM
* 24MB of available hard-disk space
* Additional 70MB of hard-disk space for Asian fonts (optional)

Acrobat Reader may work also in system with lower capabilities (i.e.with less memory) but then the results can't be quaranteed.

If you like to make yourself a self-opening CD then one version of it can be downloaded from here (autorun.zip)

This packed file (38,6 Mb) includes the same CIF World News issues listed above and additional files
that help to navigate and open pdf format documents after burning the files to CD.

To create a CD that has a self-opening ability you should:
1) Download the zip packed file

2) Create a new folder in your computer and unpack downloaded file to that folder.
After unpacking the files your newly created folder includes a sub-folder named World News and some other files

3) Amongst the unpacked files you can find one called autorun.exe. If you execute this file, you see how the final CD will look like. It includes possibilities to install Acrobat Reader, browse and open World News issues etc. If you notice some errors, let me know, I'll try to fix it.

4) If you burn the contents of your newly created folder to CD then it should work like automatically opening CD (after you insert it onto CD drive of PC)

Standard CDs have 700 Mb space and 3 1/2 CD-s have about 200 Mb space.
If burned to CD, those CIF World News copies take only a small part of the disc (36 Mb) and it’s plenty of room for
additional stuff - pictures, documents, music etc.
